@email@example.com He always looks so happy 😄
@firstname.lastname@example.org I’ll look into it again 🤣
@email@example.com But like @firstname.lastname@example.org said, the RSS feed is clean. And the fact that it’s always 13 repetitions and not an arbitrary number suggests a systematic bug.
TCU comes back at the very end of the game to end ASU’s season and will face Gonzaga Sunday.
I didn’t know I needed a commercial that had Adam Morrison singing “One Shining Moment” on a beach with AT&T’s Lily, Greg Oden, Sabrina Ionescu, and a host of other famous college players, but I’m here for it!
Who’s up for a call today?
Yeah I’m pretty sure. I’ve looked into this once before. Hashing the content would probably work as long as the content itself isn’t changing…
Heh, Chet Holmgren is in an AT&T wireless commercial with Lily.
FDU coach bafflingly calls time out with 1.2 seconds left up 5. They hold on for the upset win and GU is now up 62-42 with 10:21 to go.
Switched the game to watch the end of Purdue - FDU. 1 seed Boilermakers trail by 4 with 8.1 seconds left in the game.
Good start to the second half as Gonzaga has jumped out to a 52-42 lead with 15:28 to go in the game. Offense is looking way more fluid.
@email@example.com hash the content?
@firstname.lastname@example.org hmm good to know thanks
Frustrating five or six minutes results in the Zags trailing GCU 10-12 now with 12 minutes left in the first half. Hopefully they can get things sorted out soon.
Amazing start for the Zags so far as they’ve forced 4 turnovers out of the gate and jumped out to a 7-0 lead over Grand Canyon!
@email@example.com Do you get my replies too? 🤔
@firstname.lastname@example.org Yeah this is a bit of a known issue. It’s caused by bad RSS feeds that repeat the same items. We track the last time stamp of the lat item we saw.
@email@example.com I tried to self host this. It’s a bit on the heavy side 😢
SMC looks like they’re going to see this one out over VCU. The really impressive thing is that Mahaney has been a complete non-factor in the game because of his foul trouble.
@brianjesse Thanks! I often get replies from Mastodon followers. But we don’t show follower counts so I’m not sure how many people. 🙂 For RSS, this help page is probably a good place to start.

Nice. Self-hostable even!
If you look at the awesome scala weekly twtxt feed, https://feeds.twtxt.net/awesome-scala-weekly/twtxt.txt , it’s wild. “Issue 356”, the recent one I’m referring to, is repeated 13 times. Everything looks fine back to 2022-11-03T21:42:00Z, when “Issue 337” is repeated 13 times. “Issue 336” is repeated 13 times. “Issue 335” is repeated 13 times. Finally, I got bored and stopped counting.
The only conclusion is that this feed is cursed.
I see 13 in Goryon too. I only noticed 4 yesterday, but now that I’m looking again I see 13.
I’ve noticed this behavior before with other feeds.
@firstname.lastname@example.org 😆 ugh I know
@email@example.com yes, it turns out I see 13 copies on the web.
@firstname.lastname@example.org Do you see the same on the web? 🤔
@email@example.com any idea why I’d be seeing four copies of the same post?
@firstname.lastname@example.org Nice progress! 👌
@email@example.com No I did not. I see the same here too. I think it’s a bug.
@firstname.lastname@example.org Find me another Go dev or financial contributions so I can get more stuff done 😆
@email@example.com what if is say “NFT is bad” ?
@firstname.lastname@example.org but did you muted the tread? if not it just a very confusing error message
Overcame my usual dread of jinxing the Zags and filled out my first NCAA bracket in ages this year. It helped that I feel kind of ambivalent about the Zags’ chances this year but the real key was picking a fun theme and letting it guide me. I went with “Drew Timme’s Bracket” this year in honor of the soon-to-depart Zag legend and gave all the Texas teams a little more weight in my picks and picked the Zags to go all the way (because of course Drew would, right?).
Back at the office for my weekly visit. Planning to ramp up to two or three times a week as we get further into spring and hopefully ebike commuting most of the time.
Plugin proposal for yarn: If a user’s first post contains the string “NFT”, they are auto-banned.
@email@example.com Ahh but you gotta have a click-bait title and “machine learning” is still the biggest hype today 😆
@firstname.lastname@example.org That’s the normal peering that
yarnd does between pods. Because I replied to @email@example.com and you follow me, since you don’t follow david and don’t have the root twt for context, your pod asked mine for it.
@firstname.lastname@example.org LOL 😅 Its insane to think how much Tencetn have infiltrated the world! 😳 Even more so than Google, Microsoft, Facebook and Twitter 😱
@email@example.com yes lets get bottle mail in yarn🤣
What is going one here?
I have note muted this tread, but i have also not turned on ActivityPub feature on my pod, so suspect that is part of the issue, since the root is from Mastodon:

@Phys_org@feeds.twtxt.net “Researchers use computers to listen for specific fish sounds”
@firstname.lastname@example.org I would say both, or neither. I am just uninterested, that’s as simple as it gets. Also, this reply of yours is completely disconnected on Mastodon.
